Edward has an alias known as Ted Forrester. Anita comes to know of "Ted" at the end of the third book, Circus of the Damned. He walks around sporting a cowboy hat and a sunny smile. He's quite a friendly and amiable man. Ted more or less is Edward's near opposite. Or is Ted more like Edward than...Edward? Yes, he is that confusing and mysterious.

Ted resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and he is engaged to Donna Parnell. He is a bounty hunter who is on good terms with most of the cops in the area, therefore he is sometimes called in to investigate crime scenes. He also has connections with some of the "non-human" folk, so he usually knows where to go or who to talk to when it comes to needing info on vampires, lycanthropes, etc. Ted owns a very dirty Hummer, a large and extremely tough vehicle that resembles a cross between a Jeep and a truck (it can go over nearly any terrain in any weather).
